服には様々な用途や目的があります。
自分を美しく飾る、強くみせる。体、性器を隠す、守る。哀悼の意、敬意を表する。アイデンティティーを主張する等。
しかしこの他にも何か新しい用途や目的は考えられないだろうか。
服はこの先、どういった意義を持って存在していく可能性があるのだろうか。
それを問うために、「Fashion Plus」は企画されました。
また「Fashion Plus」では、コラボレーションワークを軸に据えています。
ファッション制作とは異なったパートナーと共同作業をすることにより、一人一人の持つ「服」への常識を疑い合い、
より自由な発想へ到達することを目的としています。

I know Iona College is a bit out of the way from the average NYC gallery, but I think this show makes it worth the trip.

*Deep pop contains a healthy dose of both established and emerging artists from the realms of street art, pop surrealism, lowbrow, illustration, print making, tattoo and so much more. Through this group exhibition, promising young artists will have the chance to exhibit side by side with some of the more established artists in these fields. 5枚目が終わって、今日は絵の入れ替え日。
６枚目のタイトルはもう決まっています。
『無意識の肖像画』シリーズ　No.6 「永訣の朝」

宮沢賢治の詩のタイトルを拝借しました。たいがい、絵を描く前にイメージ作りに詩を書くのだけど、今回は無用。賢治の『永訣の朝』がそれだから。キラキラした雪原のイメージで描きたい：
去ってゆく愛しい人
松の香り
雪
みぞれ
曇り空
天国
愛と孤独

詩を読み返していたら、泣いていた。
さぁ、最後の１枚だ。

色を参考にしてる本、ポツリと建った家の写真集、空の色が奇麗

筆を購入。新しい筆なんて何年ぶりだろう（涙）嬉しい。描きやすい。１番下のが古いもの、もちろんまだ使います。

ピンクも買い足し。これが無いと絵が描けない　Love this PINK

今、せっせとこの展示の為に額を作っています。溜まった作品を見せるので、準備はさほど手間取らないだろうと思いきや、細々したことがいろいろとでてきています。久々の展示なので、自身、とても楽しみです。タイトルの『夜明け前』には、ひっそりとしていて、それでいて始まりの予感に満ちた世界を今回の展示で創りあげたいという私の意志が込められています。
去年の年末に創ったドローイング『塗り絵シリーズ』を中心に、２００１年に創った大切な作品を織り交ぜた濃い展示になります。それ以外にも、いろいろ秘密の仕掛けみたいな物を織り込んで行きます。皆様、是非足を運んで下さい。オープニングの４月２８日には会場にいます。
